Dr. Darcy was born in Fargo, North Dakota and raised throughout the world. Her father’s military career in the Navy took the family throughout the United States and overseas. Following graduation from a DODDS school in Sicily, Italy, she returned to her birth state for her undergraduate degree in speech language pathology and audiology from the University of North Dakota.
She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where she continued her dental education and completed her 2-year specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and received a Master of Science degree. Following residency, Dr. Darcy and her husband, Dr. Carl, fulfilled their joint military obligation to the United States Air Force by serving as dentists overseas in Okinawa, Japan for three years. Which is where they started their family with daughter Saffron (now 15) and son Brody (now 14).
Dr. Darcy was one of the first practitioners in Minnesota and Wisconsin to offer tongue and lip releases to infants and continues to support this practice and has spoken at several clinics, hospitals and meetings over the years.
