Dr. Ebose Okoruwa

Background and Education

Dr. Ebose, he goes by Ebo (A-bow) for short, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. His parents migrated from Nigeria to Iowa, as his mother began her career as an MD pediatrician. His mother is known around town as Dr. O and is very involved in the community. While in dental school, Dr. Ebo served as the Vice President of the Pediatric Dentistry club and participated annually in the Iowa Mission of Mercy, which provides millions of dollars in free dental care to the public. In addition, Dr. Ebo volunteered at a free dental clinic in Iowa City that provides treatment for the less fortunate in the area. Dr. Ebo graduated from dental school with distinction and moved to Minneapolis to complete his residency in specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. In his heart Dr. Ebo will always be a Hawkeye.

Dr. Ebo is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Practice Philosophy

Dr. Ebo is a firm believer in prevention and creating an individualized plan for each patient that works for the goals of both patient and provider. When caring for children, Dr. Ebo wants to make sure that each child feels they are heard and have a positive experience. Dr. Ebo wants to prevent children from developing dental phobias due to bad childhood experiences, which can lead to a lifetime of poor oral health. Dr. Ebo believes that every day is another opportunity to learn something new.
