Dr. Ebose Okoruwa
Background and Education
Dr. Ebose, he goes by Ebo (A-bow) for short, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. His parents migrated from Nigeria to Iowa, as his mother began her career as an MD pediatrician. His mother is known around town as Dr. O and is very involved in the community. Dr. Ebo played football and ran track at Omaha Creighton Preparatory School, before graduating in 2010.
Dr. Ebo received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Iowa, and remained in Iowa City to complete his dental school education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Clinics. While in dental school, Dr. Ebo served as the Vice President of the Pediatric Dentistry club and participated annually in the Iowa Mission of Mercy, which provides millions of dollars in free dental care to the public. In addition, Dr. Ebo volunteered at a free dental clinic in Iowa City that provides treatment for the less fortunate in the area. Dr. Ebo graduated from dental school with distinction and moved to Minneapolis to complete his residency in specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. In his heart Dr. Ebo will always be a Hawkeye.
Dr. Ebo is excited to finally set down roots in the Twin Cities. Outside of the clinic, you can find Dr. Ebo biking around the cities, going on hikes, and watching sports.
Additional Training
Dr. Ebo is trained in pediatric advanced life support and basic life support. During residency, Dr. Ebo worked in the research lab of Dr. Robert Jones, where he investigated how different bacterial strains may have a role in a cavity progressing, but are not affected by routine prevention techniques commonly prescribed. Dr. Ebo is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Practice Philosophy
Dr. Ebo is a firm believer in prevention and creating an individualized plan for each patient that works for the goals of both patient and provider. When caring for children, Dr. Ebo wants to make sure that each child feels they are heard and have a positive experience. Dr. Ebo wants to prevent children from developing dental phobias due to bad childhood experiences, which can lead to a lifetime of poor oral health. Dr. Ebo believes that every day is another opportunity to learn something new.
I was nervous about the "unknowns" of tongue tie, and why breastfeeding was so painful for me. Dr. Darcy and her amazing staff are warm, welcoming and professional from the start! I felt comfortable and informed the whole time. Dr.Darcy is knowledgeable, direct and incredibly kind. A great experience.
St. Croix KiddsToday, I took all three of my kids here. My oldest I knew wouldn't have any issues, as he loves the dentist. My middle has had horrible experiences at the dentists and hates going, but they made him so comfortable that they were able to complete a full exam with X-rays! This is a huge accomplishments! My youngest is 2 and she did a full lap exam with the Dr without any issues! I cannot recommend this place enough.

The dentists are thorough and positive. My kids look forward to their six-month check ups. The environment is collorful, fun and inviting. All-in-all a great experience.

We recently moved 45 minutes away, but I continue to bring my children here. It is well worth the drive to know they are in a safe, friendly and efficient environment.

They love all the wonderful ladies (especially Ms. Rachel) who are so gentle in their care for them. Dr. Beinlich has a great child like personality that really puts the kids at ease. You know you have found a great place when you tell the kids they have a dentist appointment and they get excited. All around this is a great place to trust with your little ones!

Blaine KiddsI took my infant son for evaluation of a tongue tie. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming over looking the St. Croix river. The staff is kind compassuonate and you can tell they really love what they do. They were excellent at explaining what they were evaluating, what the procedure was going to entail and making sure you were able to do the therapy at home after to ensure the best results.
